Duties and Responsibilities
To carry out necessary studies in preparation and execution phases of cooperation agreements and protocols with higher education institutions and other organizations in foreign countries,
· To provide the organization, to execute necessary infrastructure studies of the European Union education programs such as Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig and all the activities related to these programs and to coordinate the increase in participation into them in terms of quality and quantity in our university in order to integrate our university into the European Higher Education Area and to harmonize with the Bologna process which our country put a signature under it,
· To ensure coordination and execution of all activities related to mobility of students and personnel within the frame of bilateral agreements and especially within the Erasmus Program from the announcement and election stages to the organization, follow-up and finalization
· To provide all kinds of applications, acceptance, reception, placement and follow-up of incoming foreign exchange students and faculty members,
· Carrying out studies on the placement and implementation of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System which is an indispensable tool of the Bologna Process, in our institution,
· To evaluate the calls for proposals made by the EU Center for Education and Youth Programs (National Agency), the national director of the European Union Education Programs, to make applications, to sign contracts and to submit interim and final reports on a regular basis,
· To announce national and international conferences and seminars which are included in the field of relevant programs, to provide or support the organization of participation,
· To follow developments in European Union Framework Programs and other European Union research programs, to support individual initiatives and to provide guidance and training services on project management issues, in order to ensure the integration of our university into the European Research Area,
· To participate in organizations such as congresses, symposia, seminars, conferences, workshops related to European Union Education and Research programs which are held at various levels, to contribute to organizing study visits and meetings in our university,
· Providing technical support for announcements, introduction, information and communication and document preparation matters in the field of International Relations,
· Contributing directly to the preparation of all kinds of material for the promotion of our university at international level,
· To execute information updates, correspondence and follow ups on membership applications in relations with international associations or organizations,
· To carry out all activities related to the Farabi Exchange Program starting from the 2009-2010 academic year and coordinated by the Higher Education Council based on the exchange of students and faculty members among the higher education institutions in our country.
· To conduct and coordinate the activities for the acceptance of international students starting from 2011-2012 academic year.
